Customers' complaints are a part of business life of any corporate entity and so is a major concern for Indian Banks. With the upcoming privatization and globalization of banks in India, there is a considerable increase in the volume of disputes between the customers and banks. A complaint redressal system is a procedure for receiving, registering and disposing of grievances expressed by a customer. Prevailing competition in the banking sector, increasing expectations of the customer in terms of facilities, high degree of personalisation, fast delivery of service, etc. have imposed pressure on banks to facilitate an efficient "Complaint Redressal System" in order to provide prompt and satisfactory solutions to customer complaints. Advent of technology has not only enabled banks to provide varied types of services but it has also led to more complex and diversified complaints raised by the customer.This research paper study the 'Complaint Redressal' system in Indian Banks to receive and redress the customers' complaints, has been analysised and a comparison has been drawn between private and public sector banks in India with special reference to ICICI Bank (private sector bank) and SBI (public sector bank). An attempt has been made to discover the major reasons for customers 'complaints, efficiency of Indian banks to handle complaints and proposed suggestions to reduce grievances of bank customers and improve the efficiency of complaints redressal system.

Conformity of the antenna to the mounting surface is the most essential requirement of modern communication system, whether it be antenna mounted on vehicles or airborne applications primarily due to the aero dynamical advantages of such antennas. In this paper we present the analysis of a inset microstrip line fed patch on cylindrical substrate with electrically small radius of 0.1 times free space wavelength. We try to analyse the effect that the bending has on the resonant frequency, inset length of the feed line of the patch antenna. We present the design dimensions, S11 & Radiation pattern results for the designed conformal patch antenna.Keywords

In this paper MZI-FBG based optical add drop multiplexer is designed and its performance is analysed in the ring network. In the ring network nodes are composed of optical add drop multiplexer, transmitter and receiver. OADM is used to add or drop any frequency at intermediate nodes without affecting other channels. In this paper the performance of the ring network is carried out by varying various kinds of fibre with or without amplifiers.Keywords

Banking is one of the strongest pillars of the Service Sector; a major contributor to India’s GDP sources of credit to both household and industrial sectors. With the advent of globalization and upcoming private banks in India, there is a significant rise in the customers’ expectations resulting in increase in customers’ complaints. In this context, an effective and efficient “Complaint Redressal System” is looked upon not only from regulatory perspective but also marketing support. Awareness about the functioning of “Complaint Redressal System” by the customer and reaction of aggrieved/dissatisfied customers have kept banks vigilant in the competitive market environment. This research paper is an attempt to study the efficiency of “Complaint Redressal System” adopted by both private and public sector banks in India; the paper also undertakes comparative analysis of banks under two types of ownerships in terms of efficiency in resolving complaints, the customers’ perceptions, satisfaction and rating among these two types. Total 1000 bank customers (500 customers each of public sector banks and private sector banks) are surveyed from NCR. Exploratory research (secondary sources and literatures/review) and descriptive quantitative tools on the basis of primary data collect through survey are undertaken by the researcher. Hypotheses tests are done using both parametric test (Z-test) and non-parametric test (t-test, Chi-square test).Keywords

A validated and robust bioassay is of paramount importance in the various stages of biosimilar development to ensure efficacy, quality and potency. The complement-dependent cytotoxicity assay was validated over six simulated potencies and found specific for rituximab-like antibodies. The bioassay was found robust with linearity parameter R2 = 0.99, %GCV for precision and accuracy was less than 20% for >40 individual performances. Detailed set of system suitability and sample acceptance criteria was determined. The study may play a key part in the development of written and physical potency reference standards for incorporation in different pharmacopeia for effective biosimilar development and regulation.Keywords

Background: Precise knowledge of anatomical land marks of sacral hiatus and the proper identification of the epidural space is indispensable for successful caudal epidural anaesthesia. Aim: To test the reliability of loss of resistance, whoosh test, swoosh test and nerve stimulation in identifying the correct caudal needle placement in children. Methods: 40 children aged between 1-6 years with ASA-I and ASA-II undergoing infra umbilical surgical procedures studied. On completion of surgery under general anaesthesia, neuromuscular blockade was reversed and caudal given. Nerve stimulator needle was inserted with Loss of Resistance (LOR) as reference and gradually current increased until a motor response visible in the anal sphincter (S2-S3). Then, whoosh and swoosh test performed by another observer blinded and local anaesthetic given using Armitage formula. Results: LOR was appreciated in 34 (85%) patients. Elicitation of nerve stimulation test was positive in all 40 (100%) of patients. The mean current used was 7.47 ± 2.52 mA. The whoosh test (1ml of air) and swoosh test was positive in all 40 (100%) of the patients. In one patient sacral hiatus could not be identified. The most frequent difficulty noticed was multiple attempts in six out of 20 cases. Conclusion: LOR technique requires experience, thus not a good teaching tool for beginners. Nerve stimulator is an excellent objective tool however; limited availability and time constraints make its use impractical. Whoosh and swoosh are the preferred clinical techniques if ultrasound is unavailable.Keywords
